For the past five years, I’ve been blogging about our day-to-day home education over on Sometimes It’s Peaceful, but since the UK government launched its review of home education, the day-to-day stuff doesn’t seem to fit there any more, so I’m putting it here.
I’ve named this blog ‘Off-site’ partly because it fits in with the rest of my WordPress set of blogs, and partly because when a child is flexischooled, they’re recorded on the school documents as being ‘educated off-site’ during their days at home. While we’re obviously not flexischooling – we’re actually unschooling – the Off-site term still seems appropriate!
I’ve read your articles in the Green Parent magazine; very good magazine. I have just started my own Blog, as my husband is home educating both of our boys (8 and 10yrs).
I found your articles very interesting and hope that our journey will be as exciting as yours has.
